This Rules!

I am planning on doing this next year...

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

MERRY CHRISTMAS

2009

We had about 15 minutes for the kids to get dressed and get a picture done, before life had to go on in other directions. Not 1/2 bad (wish Haley could have kept her ankles together).

Charity Never Faileth

Pottery Barn had a smaller version of this tree and I really liked it, but I just wasn't sure it was for me. Well, I went to a Relief Society meeting and came away with this feeling, that I should make the tree and a note card in each slot that would have a way to show charity to those around us. The kids are having so much fun with it this year.

Tyler got a New Hair cut.

What started out as a punishment (cutting off his hair) ended up being a blessing for all of us. Tyler wanted long hair and it just looked horrible on him. So when Justin and I got back from an emergency trip to California and found out that Ty was not on his best behavior, well, we ran him over to Sport Clips and had it cut off! About 12 hours latter, he let us know he likes it now.

Halloween 2009

Here is Lauren as Super Girl. No one knows why she chose this?? She is known for her pink and fairies. This year she went with something out of character.

I Got My Tickets!

My girlfriend rented out a theater and the theater got permission to show a 9:00 p.m. showing. So when everyone else is getting ready to go in, we will be walking out and going to bed! We also will have a raffles during the preview and having a blast with a whole theater of all our friends.

P.S. I heard a rumor that one of the raffles is a hotel night. Haley and I are sooooo excited.

I Did It

I wanted to get the fun jewelry out of a drawer and up on the wall somehow so I could see most of it at one time. I took a hint from my sewing wall and did this. I totally love it, but now I want to make a bigger one and get more jewelry. Hehe

I love fabric pumpkins

I decided to make Ty a "non"girly pumpkin of his own. Then I decided to make each of the kids one out of their favorite fabric and colors. They love them. One flaw..... They are always trying to sneak their to the tall candlestick. They really are fun and cute. I think I will make a few more.

We had 3 wives, 3 husbands, 8 boys and my 2 girls! And no problems. I thought Haley was going to get teased and poked fun at and the boys were so nice and left her alone. These are awesome boys!

9-11

May we never forget the HEROES who stand strong in the face of danger. Today we took the time to explain to the kids how HEROES are those who stand strong, when everything around you is falling, and lending a hand to another, even if y0u are falling yourself. I hope we never forget this part of our American history.

Haley's world changed on September 1st

THE BIGGEST NEWS IS THAT HALEY MADE THE JR. HIGH SOCCER TEAM!!!! We are soooooo proud of her. Too top this moment off........She has straight A's in all her classes (even in her honors classes). I can't believe how she is so smart and beautiful. She really is a blessing to our lives.

Then we took her to the.......Orthodontist..... and she got.....full-on braces!

You can't see but on the inside of her cheeks there is 2 vertical bars conecting her upper jaw to her lower jaw. Its like a built in head gear called an herps device. She is going to be drinking her food for the next little while.

First Day of School

Haley's first day of Jr. High. She made me wake up at 6:00am to blow out her hair. (p.s. I hate mornings)
Ever since Kindergarden I have always had a picture of Haley with Nicole. I hate seeing these girls grow up. ugggh

Tyler and Lauren are thrilled to be going back to school. They are excited to see their friends!

I hope they are always friends!

Haley went to see Wicked for the 1st time. She waited a long time to see it and loved every minute of it.

Happy 12th Birthday To HALEY ROSE LUDLOW

1st thing in the morning she got a Manicure.
TThen she put on Make-up.

She learned how to shave her legs. (Don't worry she did it in the shower)

Then she went to Young Women's Mutual. (They had a water day at the park)

Had fun with her friends at Mutual.

Then when Mutual was done. At 9:05pm We took 3 large SUV's filled with girls and went to Dave and Buster's for a rip-roaring good time.

Lauren had fun with Deal or No Deal. (She should have taken the 1st deal)

The girls loved racing against each other. But by 11:00pm as you can see Lauren was tuckered out.
