Thanksgiving with my side of the family

For Thanksgiving we got together, just outside of Baker, CA. We have a tradition of cooking our meat in the ground. This was the first the kids were taught the steps.

First- Dig

Second-Burn wood to dry out the sand and make coals for the meat.

Third- Put the meat in and bury it.

Fourth-Wait 24 hours, then we dig it up and.....EAT. Yummy!
